The landscape of West African hospitality is set for a significant transformation as Minor Hotels, a global powerhouse with over 640 properties worldwide, announced its first-ever venture into the region. The group has signed a landmark agreement to bring the NH Collection brand to Accra, Ghana, marking a major milestone in its African expansion strategy.

The signing, which took place during the THINC Middle East 2026 conference, introduces the NH Collection Accra—a 200-key luxury hotel designed to cater to the high-level needs of the city’s international business and diplomatic community.

Located in the heart of Ghana’s commercial hub, the NH Collection Accra will form the centerpiece of a modern mixed-use development by Swami India Ghana Limited. The site is strategically positioned near Jubilee House (the seat of government) and provides seamless access to the capital’s corporate and embassy districts, as well as the Kotoka International Airport.

Beyond luxury accommodations, the development is envisioned as a "vibrant urban destination," integrating premium retail outlets and office components. This holistic approach aims to meet the rising demand for sophisticated spaces where work and lifestyle intersect.

This move is a strong vote of confidence in Ghana’s long-term economic stability. Minor Hotels is not just entering a new market; it is anchoring its West African presence in one of the continent's most dynamic economies.
